Basic Education - PACEing Yourself
Objective:
The first objective of the School of Tomorrow program is to return the control of the education of the child to the parents. By placing educational tools in their hands, we can help parents direct the child's education.
Values Taught:
The bulk of Biblical theistic values are clear and accepted by almost every Christian. Character qualities are taught in every subject.
Methodology:
The mastery of basics is the foundation. School of Tomorrow builds skill upon skill and permits theory to grow out of skills. Mastery of phonics, language, reading, writing and basic mathematics skills are accomplished through heavy use of activities and drills.
Curriculum:
The materials are diagnostically prescribed, self-contained, and self-instructional. Each set of twelve PACEs contains one year of curriculum in one subject in an 8 1/2 X 11 format. Five subjects equal sixty PACEs.
Diagnostically
Prescribed:
It is recommended that a set of diagnostic tests be administered to each second through twelfth grader to determine any academic gaps. These tests are taken right from the curriculum. Test results make it possible for each individual child to by-pass material they already know, and begin the curriculum where they are ready to learn.
Self-Instructed:
All the necessary instructions are contained in the PACE. The student reads the instructions, follows the examples, and thereby learns the material on their own. The parent serves as a coach and a counsellor. The material is the teacher. With this proces the parent is able to supervise the learning of many children without the rigors of lesson plans.
Here to Help
You:
Since the School of Tomorrow program is different than other programs, it is usually more helpful to have guidance in getting started. We delight in being able to assist our customers in diagnosing, in prescribing, and in ordering the proper materials. If you have problems or questions, we invite you to call us and give us the privilege of serving you.
